Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as head of EMEA Policy, according to a company spokesperson. Prior to his time at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. His departure was noted, although he did not immediately provide comment.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted that UK banks are inadvertently restricting access to legitimate services for millions of customers by not adequately differentiating between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
