Return to Profitability: Strategy Sees 8% Gain as Bitcoin Surpasses $77,000
Bitcoin, currently at $74,684.63, has broken through the $77,000 barrier for the first time since its decline on February 5, when it hit a low of approximately $60,000. This upward movement has positive implications for Strategy, the largest public bitcoin holder, which has seen its holdings return to profitability with an average purchase price of $75,577. With an 8% increase, Strategy is now trading above its 200-week moving average, a key long-term indicator. Bitcoin has surged over 25% and is now above its 100-day moving average of $74,774, following a low in early February. Previous attempts to break through this level were met with rejection, lending credibility to the current upward trend. Notably, Bitcoin briefly reached $76,700 on February 4 before declining, and a subsequent recovery attempt on March 17 stalled at $76,013, making the current breakout above $76,300 particularly significant.
