The Aave community has voted in favor of the 'Aave Will Win' proposal, a framework that consolidates economic rights under the AAVE token and redirects 100% of revenue from Aave-branded products back to the DAO. This move marks the end of a months-long governance dispute that started when Aave Labs redirected swap fees away from the DAO treasury in December. The proposal, deemed the most important in Aave's history by founder Stani Kulechov, aims to make Aave fully token-centric, with the DAO now responsible for funding Aave Labs' activities.

A $25 million stablecoin grant and 5,000 AAVE token allocation have been approved for Aave Labs. The Aave DAO, a community-run decision-making body, has effectively resolved the dispute over protocol revenue control, with token holders now set to benefit from the revenue generated by Aave's user-facing products.

The proposal is expected to supplement protocol revenue, which reached $140 million in 2025, with application-layer revenue from Aave Pro, Aave App, Horizon, and Aave Kit. The team plans to expand collateral options, address DeFi liquidity demand, and invest in AI infrastructure for developers building on Aave, with the goal of scaling from $40 billion to $1 trillion in total value locked.
