Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move to greener pastures. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the role of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase spokesperson via email. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
He has not yet responded to a request for comment. As a leading expert in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
