Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at the US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon is leaving to assume the position of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as stated by a Coinbase representative.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
