Experts suggest that XRP's architecture provides better protection against quantum threats than Bitcoin's.

This is largely due to the XRP Ledger's (XRPL) open-source, decentralized nature and its use of a unique account-based system. Ripple, a fintech company, utilizes XRP to facilitate cross-border transactions. A key aspect of the quantum vulnerability is the potential for a powerful machine to reverse-engineer private keys from exposed public keys, thereby draining funds. However, XRP's design and features, such as key rotation and escrow, offer additional layers of protection.

A recent audit found that approximately 300,000 XRP accounts, holding 2.4 billion XRP, have never sent funds and are therefore quantum-safe by default. In contrast, Bitcoin's blockchain is more vulnerable, with a significant portion of early bitcoin mined using a format that exposes public keys directly.
