Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, has moved on to new opportunities. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the position of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
His expertise in crypto regulations led him to recently highlight that UK banks are inadvertently restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers by failing to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
