Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI, where he will assume the position of head of EMEA Policy, as stated by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not yet responded to a request for comment.

As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to legal and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and higher-risk entities.
