Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to move on. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has accepted a new position as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative via email.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has yet to respond to a request for comment. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and those posing a higher risk.
