XRP, Plasma, and DOGE to Watch as Bitcoin Remains Stagnant
Bitcoin's sluggish trading near the $75,000 mark has shifted the spotlight to other notable crypto projects, including XRP, Plasma, and DOGE. XRP, the token used by Ripple for cross-border transactions, has seen a resurgence in demand with U.S.-listed spot XRP ETFs attracting over $17 million in inflows, the highest since February 2. This uptick in interest is accompanied by encouraging news, such as Ripple's partnership with Kyobo Life Insurance to launch a real-time tokenized government bond settlement system on blockchain in South Korea. Additionally, XRP's derivatives market is showing bullish signals, with rising open interest and positive funding rates. The total value locked in XRP has jumped to 1.89 billion, a level not seen since late March. Meanwhile, Plasma, a stablecoin-focused layer-1 blockchain, has emerged as the seventh-largest blockchain by total value locked, with its TVL reaching $2 billion, a 27% increase over the past week and over 80% in the last 30 days. The growth could be linked to optimism around the CLARITY Act, which aims to clarify the regulation of digital assets in the U.S. Plasma has also been selected to support Tether's new self-custody wallet, alongside Ethereum and Arbitrum. On the other hand, DOGE, the meme-inspired token, is experiencing low volatility, as indicated by the tightening of Bollinger Bands, which typically precedes significant price swings. As for bitcoin, the combination of on-chain profit-taking, uneven spot demand, and cautious options suggests continued range-bound trading near $75,000. The market remains alert, awaiting the next significant move. For further analysis of altcoins and derivatives, as well as a comprehensive list of upcoming events, additional resources are available.
