Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as the head of EMEA Policy, according to a statement from a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of the announcement.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously noted that UK banks' failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk entities results in millions of customers being denied access to lawful and compliant services.
