Tom Duff Gordon, who served as Coinbase's vice president of international policy for nearly four years, has made a career move. He is now heading the EMEA Policy division at OpenAI, as revealed by a Coinbase representative.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years in banking at Credit Suisse. Despite his expertise in cryptocurrency regulations, he did not provide immediate comment.
Notably, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
