In a significant development, the Aave community has voted in favor of the 'Aave Will Win' proposal, which redirects all revenue from Aave-branded products back to the DAO, effectively consolidating economic rights under the AAVE token. This move marks the end of a months-long governance dispute that began when swap fees were redirected away from the DAO treasury. The approved proposal includes a $25 million stablecoin grant and 5,000 AAVE token allocation to Aave Labs, with the DAO now responsible for funding Aave Labs' activities.

The Aave DAO, a community-run decision-making body, will oversee the protocol's upgrades, fees, and treasury use. The proposal's passage resolves a controversy that exposed tensions over control of the protocol's valuable assets and revenue.

With this development, Aave is poised to become fully token-centric, with a focus on generating revenue for token holders. The protocol's revenue, which reached $140 million in 2025, is expected to increase with the addition of application-layer revenue from Aave Pro, Aave App, Horizon, and Aave Kit.

The Aave team plans to expand collateral options, invest in AI infrastructure, and scale the protocol to $1 trillion, positioning Aave as a financial network for fintech, banks, and asset managers.
