Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-based cryptocurrency platform, has made the move to OpenAI. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon will now serve as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years in banking at Credit Suisse.
Despite attempts to reach him, Duff Gordon was unavailable for comment. As an expert in crypto regulations, he had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
