Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange, has moved on to new opportunities. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken up a new position as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative.

Prior to his time at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not yet responded to requests for comment.

As a specialist in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
