Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the move to OpenAI. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the position of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
He has yet to comment on his new role. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
