Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the Vice President of International Policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. Following nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on a new role as the head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the cryptocurrency exchange via email. Prior to joining Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not yet responded to requests for comment.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
