Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has transitioned to OpenAI, where he will assume the position of head of EMEA Policy, as stated by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for immediate comment.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks denying access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
