Tom Duff Gordon, Vice President of International Policy at cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, has made the move to OpenAI, where he will serve as Head of EMEA Policy. Duff Gordon spent nearly four years at Coinbase, prior to which he had an eight-and-a-half-year stint as a banker at Credit Suisse. His departure was confirmed by a Coinbase spokesperson. As an expert in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
