Bitcoin's Ascent to $77,000 Puts Strategy in the Black with 8% Gain
Bitcoin has made a significant push past $77,000, reaching $77,372.69, its highest point since a sharp decline on February 5 that saw it drop to nearly $60,000. This upward movement has a positive impact on Strategy, the largest public bitcoin holder, which is now profitable with its bitcoin holdings at an average cost of $75,577. With an 8% increase, Strategy is also trading above its 200-week moving average, a key long-term indicator. Bitcoin has surged over 25%, exceeding its 100-day moving average of $74,774 since its early February low. The cryptocurrency briefly touched $76,700 on February 4 before falling, and a subsequent attempt to recover on March 17 stalled at $76,013, making the current breakout above $76,300 particularly noteworthy.
