Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on a new role as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse.

He was unavailable for immediate comment. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to compliant and lawful services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
