Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency exchange, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as head of EMEA Policy, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
As a specialist in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
