Patrick Witt, the White House's primary crypto adviser, has stated that efforts are underway to solidify a compromise that could propel the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act forward in the US Senate. In a recent interview, Witt expressed optimism that the common ground achieved by key senators from both parties regarding stablecoin yield will remain intact. The compromise, which addresses concerns over stablecoin yield, is seen as a crucial step towards resolving other outstanding issues. Witt noted that while some issues have already been resolved, negotiations are ongoing to address remaining concerns, including illicit financial protections in the DeFi space and restrictions on government officials' involvement in the crypto sector.

The Clarity Act still requires a markup hearing in the Senate Banking Committee before it can proceed to a final Senate vote. Witt expressed confidence that the remaining issues can be resolved, citing the progress made in addressing previously intractable concerns.
