Tom Duff Gordon, who served as Coinbase's vice president of international policy for nearly four years, has made the move to OpenAI to take on the role of head of EMEA Policy. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. His departure was confirmed by a Coinbase spokesperson, although Duff Gordon himself was unavailable for comment. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
