Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-based cryptocurrency exchange, has made a significant career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as the head of EMEA Policy, as revealed by a company spokesperson.

Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. Although he was unavailable for comment, his expertise in crypto regulations has been noteworthy. Notably, he recently highlighted an issue where UK banks are inadvertently restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
