Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-based cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move to OpenAI. According to a Coinbase spokesperson, Duff Gordon has taken on the role of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI. Prior to his nearly four-year tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
His expertise lies in cryptocurrency regulations, and he had recently highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to compliant services due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
