Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency exchange, has made the decision to leave the company. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon is moving on to take the position of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative via email. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon accumulated 8.5 years of experience working in banking at Credit Suisse. At the time of inquiry, he was unavailable for comment.

As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to legitimate and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and higher-risk entities.
