Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon is moving on to become the head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse.

He has not yet responded to requests for comment. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
