The Aave community has voted in favor of the 'Aave Will Win' proposal, a framework that redirects all revenue from Aave-branded products back to the DAO, effectively making the DAO responsible for funding Aave Labs' activities. The proposal, deemed the most important in Aave's history, includes a $25 million stablecoin grant and 5,000 AAVE token allocation to Aave Labs. This shift resolves a governance dispute that began when swap fees were redirected away from the DAO treasury, and it decisively favors token holders.

The proposal aims to prevent 'value leakage' and promotes a token-centric model, with Aave becoming a fully token-centric platform. The community-run decision-making body, Aave DAO, will now oversee the protocol's revenue, which reached $140 million in 2025 and is expected to match that in 2026.

The proposal also outlines plans for governance process improvements, technical advancements, and investments in AI infrastructure, with the goal of scaling Aave from $40 billion to $1 trillion in total value locked.
