Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has moved on to OpenAI, where he will be heading the EMEA Policy division, as stated by a spokesperson for Coinbase via email.
Prior to his time at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not yet responded to a request for comment. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted that UK banks are inadvertently denying millions of customers access to legitimate and compliant services by failing to differentiate between low-risk operators registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and those that pose a greater risk.
