The Fellowship PAC, which has been linked to Tether, recently disclosed its first financial contribution ahead of the 2026 US congressional midterm elections. The $300,000 expenditure was made to Nxum Group, a firm co-founded by Bo Hines, who now serves as the CEO of Tether's US arm. Although the PAC was announced last year with pledges of $100 million, its current accounts still show no contributions. The advertising effort was made on behalf of Republican House candidate Clay Fuller, with the funds being used for his primary election campaign.

According to campaign finance rules, there is no blanket prohibition on self-dealing for political committees, as long as the services provided are genuine and the rates paid are fair market rates.
