The rise of quantum computing has sparked concerns about the potential risks to blockchain security. According to experts, XRP's architecture may be better equipped to withstand these threats than Bitcoin's. The XRP Ledger, which is an open-source, decentralized blockchain, has features such as key rotation and escrow that reduce its exposure to quantum attacks.

A recent audit found that around 300,000 XRP accounts, holding 2.4 billion XRP, have never sent any funds and are therefore quantum-safe by default. In contrast, Bitcoin's blockchain lacks a key rotation feature, leaving holders more vulnerable to quantum threats. Approximately 6.9 million BTC, or nearly 35% of Bitcoin's circulating supply, are estimated to be at risk. While both XRP and Bitcoin face potential quantum threats, the experts suggest that XRP's design and features make it less exposed to these risks.
