Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange, has made the decision to move on. Following nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon is set to join OpenAI, where he will assume the position of head of EMEA Policy, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative via email. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon accumulated over 8.5 years of experience in banking at Credit Suisse.

At the time of inquiry, he was unavailable for comment. As a specialist in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to legitimate and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
