Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the Vice President of International Policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made a career move. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on the role of Head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase spokesperson.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted an issue where U.K. banks were restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
