Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the Vice President of International Policy at Coinbase, a leading U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange, has made the move to a new opportunity. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as the head of EMEA Policy, as disclosed by a spokesperson for the company. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse. At the time of the announcement, he was unavailable for comment.
As a renowned expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to legitimate and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
