Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, has made a career move to OpenAI. After nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon took on the position of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase representative.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years in banking at Credit Suisse. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry. As a specialist in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously noted that UK banks were inadvertently denying millions of customers access to compliant services by failing to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk entities.
