Alchemy, a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, has introduced AgentPay, a groundbreaking tool that facilitates collaboration between various AI payment systems from prominent companies like Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle. This innovation addresses the existing problem of non-interoperable payment systems, which currently require merchants to establish separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, 'AgentPay resolves this issue by providing a single integration point, allowing merchants to register their existing API and receive a new endpoint that enables transactions from any supported protocol.' As a prominent player in the Web3 space, Alchemy is often referred to as the 'AWS of Web3' due to its comprehensive infrastructure, developer tools, and node services.
AgentPay promises to simplify transactions by acting as a translation layer, routing instructions without directly handling funds. With the anticipated growth of agentic finance, which involves micro-transactions and nano-payments between AI agents and humans, Alchemy's solution is poised to play a significant role.
Following a private beta launch, Alchemy aims to release AgentPay publicly in the coming weeks.
