Alchemy, a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, has launched AgentPay, a revolutionary tool that facilitates seamless interactions between various AI payment systems from prominent companies such as Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle. This new tool resolves the long-standing problem of incompatibility between agentic payment systems, which currently do not communicate with each other, forcing merchants to develop separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, "This approach is unsustainable and will only become more fragmented as more systems emerge. AgentPay solves this issue by allowing merchants to register their existing API with us, and we provide them with a new endpoint that enables any agent on any supported protocol to make payments through it." As a pioneer in providing infrastructure, developer tools, and node services for building blockchain applications, Alchemy is often referred to as the "AWS of Web3." AgentPay promises to simplify the process by offering a single integration for all protocols, including x402, MPP, A2P, and L402, acting as a translation layer that routes instructions without directly handling funds.

The emergence of agentic finance, which is expected to play a vital role in internet payments, often involves micro-transactions or nano-payments between AI agents and humans. Following a private beta soft launch, Alchemy plans to release AgentPay publicly in the coming weeks.
