Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at the US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has joined OpenAI as the head of EMEA Policy, as stated by a Coinbase representative.
Prior to his time at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not yet commented on his departure. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously noted that UK banks are restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
