Alchemy, a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure provider supporting numerous blockchains and firms, has introduced AgentPay, a groundbreaking tool that facilitates collaboration between various AI payment systems from prominent companies such as Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle. This novel solution addresses the pressing issue of agentic payment systems currently emerging online, which are not designed to be interoperable, resulting in merchants needing to establish separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, 'This approach is unsustainable and will only become more fragmented as additional systems are launched.' AgentPay resolves this issue by allowing merchants to register their existing API, which is then provided with a new endpoint, enabling any agent on supported protocols to make payments through it.

As a pioneer in providing infrastructure, developer tools, and node services for building blockchain applications, Alchemy is often regarded as the 'AWS of Web3.' AgentPay ensures a single integration for all protocols, including x402, MPP, A2P, and L402, by serving as a translation layer that routes instructions without directly handling funds. The rise of agentic finance, expected to become a cornerstone of internet payment activity, involves micro-transactions and nano-payments between AI agents and humans.

Following a private beta soft launch, Alchemy is gearing up for a general release in the coming weeks.
