After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon is now joining OpenAI as head of EMEA Policy, as disclosed by a Coinbase spokesperson. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. His departure was noted, although he did not immediately comment on the matter.
As an expert in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted an issue where U.K. banks were restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
