Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent U.S.-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon is set to join OpenAI, where he will assume the position of head of EMEA Policy, as stated by a Coinbase representative. Prior to his time at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has yet to comment on his departure.

As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of U.K. banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their inability to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
