In a significant development, Exodus Movement, a prominent cryptocurrency firm, has initiated legal proceedings against W3C, the parent company of esteemed crypto card and payments specialists Baanx and Monovate, as well as its CEO, Garth Howat. The lawsuit seeks to compel the completion of the $175 million acquisition of W3C, which was agreed upon in November of the previous year. Upon signing the deal, Howat and W3C received $80 million in loans from Exodus, with $10 million allocated to Howat personally.

However, the lawsuit claims that Howat has since asserted that these loans do not need to be repaid. The lawsuit alleges that Howat and W3C are engaged in a deliberate and improper campaign to evade their obligations under the binding agreement.

This includes attempting to misappropriate millions of dollars from one of their own subsidiaries, falsifying documents submitted to government authorities, and unilaterally dismissing key personnel. In response to the allegations, Exodus Movement's CEO and Co-founder, JP Richardson, stated, 'We have a binding agreement with W3C and expect it to be fully honored.

We are confident in our position and anticipate a swift resolution.'
