Tom Duff Gordon, previously the vice president of international policy at cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, has made a career move to join OpenAI. During his nearly four-year tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon played a key role in shaping the company's international policy.
Prior to his time at Coinbase, he spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. Duff Gordon, an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, had recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
He has now assumed the position of head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a Coinbase spokesperson.
