Alchemy, a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, has launched AgentPay, a revolutionary tool that facilitates collaboration among various AI payment systems from prominent companies such as Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle. This innovation addresses the long-standing problem of these systems' inability to communicate with one another, thereby requiring merchants to establish separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, 'AgentPay resolves this issue by allowing merchants to register their existing API with us, and we provide them with a new endpoint, enabling any agent on any supported protocol to make payments through it.' As a pivotal player in the Web3 space, often referred to as the 'AWS of Web3,' Alchemy offers essential infrastructure, developer tools, and node services for building blockchain applications.

By promising a single integration for multiple protocols, including x402, MPP, A2P, and L402, AgentPay acts as a translation layer, routing instructions without directly handling funds. This development is particularly significant in the realm of agentic finance, which is poised to become a cornerstone of online payment activity and often involves micro-transactions or nano-payments between AI agents and humans. Following a private beta soft launch, Alchemy is gearing up for a general release in the coming weeks.
