Tom Duff Gordon, who served as Vice President of International Policy at Coinbase for nearly four years, has made a career move to OpenAI, where he will assume the role of Head of EMEA Policy. Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
His departure was confirmed by a Coinbase spokesperson, and he has not yet commented on the move. As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, failing to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
