Tom Duff Gordon, who served as the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency platform, has made the decision to leave the company. Following nearly four years at Coinbase, Duff Gordon has transitioned to a new position as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a Coinbase representative via email.

Prior to joining Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent approximately 8.5 years working in banking at Credit Suisse. He has not yet commented on his departure.

As an expert in crypto regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
