Alchemy, a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, has introduced AgentPay, a groundbreaking tool designed to facilitate collaboration between various AI payment systems from prominent companies such as Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Circle. This innovation addresses the pressing issue of interoperability, where existing agentic payment systems are unable to communicate with one another, resulting in the need for separate integrations for each protocol. According to Alchemy CTO Guillaume Poncin, "The current situation is unsustainable and will only become more fragmented as new systems emerge.

AgentPay resolves this issue by allowing merchants to register their existing API with us, and we provide them with a new endpoint that enables any agent on a supported protocol to make payments through it." As a pioneer in providing the necessary infrastructure, developer tools, and node services for building blockchain applications, Alchemy is often referred to as the "AWS of Web3." AgentPay promises to simplify the integration process by serving as a translation layer, routing instructions while ensuring Alchemy never handles the funds. The emergence of agentic finance, which is expected to play a significant role in internet payments, involves micro-transactions and nano-payments between AI agents and humans.

Following a private beta soft launch, Alchemy aims to release AgentPay to the general public in the coming weeks.
