Tom Duff Gordon, previously the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency exchange, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on a new role as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as disclosed by a Coinbase spokesperson via email.
Prior to his tenure at Coinbase, Duff Gordon worked in banking at Credit Suisse for approximately 8.5 years. He was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
As an expert in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had recently highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to lawful and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, FCA-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
