Tom Duff Gordon, formerly the vice president of international policy at Coinbase, a prominent US-listed cryptocurrency exchange, has made a career move. After nearly four years with Coinbase, Duff Gordon has taken on a new role as head of EMEA Policy at OpenAI, as confirmed by a Coinbase representative. Prior to joining Coinbase, Duff Gordon spent over eight years working in banking at Credit Suisse.
Despite efforts to reach out, he was unavailable for comment. As a specialist in cryptocurrency regulations, Duff Gordon had previously highlighted the issue of UK banks restricting access to legitimate and compliant services for millions of customers, due to their failure to differentiate between low-risk, Financial Conduct Authority-registered firms and higher-risk operators.
